Nub removal techniques

Lesser-known nubs and how to deal with them

Spot gluing (and different glues)

Simple sanding and polishing

Sticker application

There will also be an opportunity for a building Q&A session if time permits.

An Introduction to Detailing with Enamel Paints

Sunday, August 20 from 3:00-5:00pm

Learn how to use enamel paints on small details that would normally require a lot of masking.

Topics covered include:

Demoing an enamel wash on a runner

Live demo of what happens when enamel thinner gets into a seam

Needle scribing shallow edge details

Cotton swab technique (swiping/rolling methods)

Paint brush types

Advanced clean-up and shaping with foam sticks

Inset details (vents, verniers, etc)

Raised details

Reverse washes on larges surfaces

If time permits, different paint types and paint layering will also be covered.
