Okanagan Humane Society Raffle
Bring a Cash or Pet Supply Donation and Enter to Win a Prize!
This year, KCC is teaming up with Chibi's Anime Goods and Collectibles and the Okanagan Humane Society to help animals in need. The society currently has 150 animals in its care across the Okanagan, and the volunteers are quickly becoming overwhelmed. In order to help the Okanagan Humane Society continue to provide for injured, abandoned and stray animals, Chibi's Anime and KCC are hosting a charity raffle!

Businesses around the Okanagan have kindly donated prizes that will be raffled off throughout the event. A number of gift baskets and prizes will be available. Entering is simple:

What Does the Okanagan Humane Society Do?
“The Okanagan Humane Society (OHS) is a Registered Canadian Charity committed to spaying and neutering pets to limit pet overpopulation by providing access to veterinary care for the most vulnerable animals in our communities: homeless, lost, abandoned, feral and unowned cats and dogs, and pets of low income families who experience barriers to accessing veterinary care. OHS operates in all communities of the Okanagan Valley and relies solely on grants and private donations to fund this work.

OHS operates two primary programs:
Pet Assistance Program: OHS assists low-income families with access to low cost spay/neuter/vaccine/deworm and permanent identification for their pets. The charity will also subsidize these costs and occasionally other veterinary care for pets.
Rescue Program: OHS works with community members and volunteers to rescue then spay/neuter and provide critical veterinary care for feral, abandoned, stray and homeless cats or dogs. OHS strives to provide safe homes through fostering and adoptions. We are 100% foster home based and do not operate a shelter, therefore, intake is limited to availability of foster homes. More foster homes for cats and kittens are needed. Feral animals are unable to be fostered or re-homed. They are usually returned to the property after healing from surgery to live out their lives as mousers but no longer breed.”
