Good morning to our esteemed guests, exhibitors, attendees, and volunteers.
As you all know, there is a lot happening in the Okanagan right now, most notably being the fires ravaging the West Kelowna and Glenmore areas. Many of those in attendance this weekend are being personally affected by these fires. Our hearts go out to you at this time.
Kelowna has declared a state of emergency, and, while we would love to be a ray of sunshine this weekend, we feel that prioritizing the health and safety of our patrons is of the utmost importance. With this in mind, we have decided that the best course of action is to postpone the event this weekend.
As a convention, we aim to be an inclusive and safe space for people to have fun and enjoy themselves. We feel that, with everything that is happening, many of our patrons would be unable to enjoy the experience of the convention. Our hope is that everyone be able to enjoy the event without fear.
We are actively working to secure future dates, and will keep you posted. We are working hard to answer any and all questions, so we request and appreciate your patience in awaiting a reply.
Once future dates are secured, we will update you on all of our social medias and through our website.
We hope everyone stays safe. We send hugs and love to all those who are affected.
Well wishes to you all,
The KCC Family
