2020 Cancellation Announcement

2020 Cancellation Announcement

It is with heavy hearts that we are announcing the official cancellation of Kelowna Comicon 2020.

Given the current concerns and regulations around large social gatherings and the information provided in BC’s Restart Plan, we have determined that it will not be possible to continue with our planned 2020 event. Rather than one large gathering, we have instead turned our attention to researching other options, such as online or smaller event ideas, that will comply with all current group gathering and social distancing regulations.

Rest assured, though! KCC will be back in August 2021, and we’ll be bigger and better than ever! Not only will it be our first event in our new location, The Capital News Centre, but we will also be celebrating our 5th anniversary! We already have plans in motion to make sure our 5th anniversary is our most exciting year yet, and we can’t wait to share them with you all!

To our attendees: thank you for your support during this time. Many of you have requested that your ticket(s) be deferred to our 2021 event next August. We are happy to offer that option to anyone who wishes to do so! Anyone who chooses this option will also be receiving a special gift at our 2021 event as a thank-you from us! To anyone who is unable to do so or does not wish to defer their ticket(s), we will also be extending a full refund.

We ask that attendees please let us know their preferred option here:

To our vendors: thank you for your support and continued communication. We are also offering to defer your booth payments to our 2021 event next August. Anyone who chooses to do so will guarantee themselves a spot at KCC 2021. To anyone who is unable to do so or does not wish to defer their payment, we will also be extending a full refund.

We ask that vendors please let us know their preferred option here:

We thank you all so much for your patience and support through these difficult times, and hope that you are all staying safe and healthy. You are the heart and soul of KCC, and we wouldn’t be here without you. Stay tuned for more information about our future endeavours!
