About Rynn Gallagher

"Hailing from Vancouver with the alias Kaijukat, I'm a digital artist heading towards being a fully independent creative with a truly mixed bag of subject matter. Whether it's my childhood born obsession with Godzilla and all things kaiju, or my slow burn passion for anime & manga as an art form, I'm on a constant hunt for new inspiration to sink my teeth into.

Despite attending Vancouver Film School for Makeup Special FX, and working in film in that field from 2020-2023, I found myself always coming back to drawing as my true calling. I'm currently honing my craft with commissions and independent art for expos, with my focus being character work that grabs people's attention and pushes me creatively. But I do enjoy breaking it up with the occasional silly little sticker design to make people laugh and ensure I don't get too serious about the process.

This year, I'm pushing myself to be more engaged with the art community. I will be working on both tutorials for a Youtube channel, and an art/life-centric podcast with my father & fellow guest-attendee, where we'll be happily chatting about all the ups and downs of living as an artist in our current world, with the unique lens of being a multi-generational artistic family."
